Project Management Phases

Initiation

initiation is first phase of the project management life cycle which involved in starting a new project. Project initiating outline with  the objective, purpose, scope and deliverable of the proposed project.

Planning

the second phase of the project management life cycle is planning. project planning outline the project cost, budget, scope, duration, deliverable, quality, communication, metrics, risks and resources.

Execution

the third phase which is project execution is where the project is carried out. project execution outline resource management, tracking work, team meeting and reporting on progress.

Controlling

the fourth phase which is project controlling is carried out simultaneously with execution because it is there the quality is monitored, scope creep and cost or time allocation are watch in order to keep things within budget.

Closing

The final phase which is project closing is where the project is finalized. Once the project completed run a post-mortem to document lessons learned for future project. reassign resources and update project documentation including any collaboration sites.
